PA has them too

Recommended Posts

Pulled into the PA house yesterday afternoon to see fresh boot tracks crossing the driveway.

Parked the truck and followed the tracks that had gone around three sides of the house at 30-50 yards.

Caught up to the guy as he was getting to the fourth piece he was tresspassing through .

As usual i got the hey never been here before excuse.

Told him he was full of shit as the path he had taken was one you dont just find the first time through the woods due to the lay of the land.

As i was speaking to him i saw 4 others pushing through my wood lot .

All had rifles loaded and were under 100 yard to the house .

Two stopped with the once again im sorry . I was told to walk through through here.

Sent them on their way with a message for their drive master that for the rest of the season I would be walking the property and if anyone else was caught would be getting called into fish and game .

The other 2 guys ran through the woods high tailing it.like i couldnt follow them through 6" of snow.

Ironic part is the person they were driving to were on a piece thats posted every 50 feet

Will be trying to catch that owner at his house this week.

Cant understand why PA as well as Nj dont impose -1 law many other states have,

That being written permission in hand , or automatic loss of license as well as the weapon your carrying.

Would def make alot more guys honest.

usually the ones I catch aren't carrying or wearing orange - they are just looking for their dog (3 guys walking in a line of course - all looking for their dog).   That is a special breed of large testicles you got there.

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

Check out the trespass laws for my adopted state of Va. they will give you something to think about

Not sure what U mean by " they will give you something to think about "...  Nothing overly oppressive about Va. trespass laws nor are the trespass laws lacking teeth... Pretty reasonable if You ask me...

Look at the bright side.. At least they weren't anti's..

I wouldnt have needed to worry about a rifle shot ripping through my house if they were antis walking through the wood's.

House is surrounded by hemlocks . Two of the guys had no idea they were yards from the house.

They thought all the homes were roadside .

Ours is way behind those houses.

You finding it comical shows you have about as much common sense as they had.

The laws we have are not even enforced. And yes you always get the same story, sorry I didn't know. Didn't know my ass. here is what works fore me very well. As soon as you get to them take your cellphone and start recording. Ask why they are on your property, record their retarded answer, tell them they are on private land and you will never see them again. They can't tell the cop anymore they didn't know when you have recording of the previous encounter.

So the house is all but hidden from view, Located in an out of the ordinary spot if you will...  And he who inadvertently stumbles upon the house,  that nobody knows is there is a SKUMBAG?.. Be for real Ham... Personally, I too would feel a little uncomfortable with strangers walking around my house looking for something to shoot at.. I wouldn't like it anymore than U.. BUT, you bought the place, or rented it or whatever, you should have known the risks. To say others are skumbags because of your poor choices is just wrong.. Common sense should have told you there would be a problem come hunting season.. But you were probably blinded by the natural setting of the place.. I would be too.. And I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.. But I would also have to accept the fact that come hunting season, there are gonna be hunters around.. Deal with it...

Yea your right axiom.

All 4 pieces of private property and its owner's should understand that hunters can tresspass and use our land as they wish .

And PA should also realise that their game laws dont really exist either.

well, that's not exactly what I was alluding too... I'm just saying , in situations like this, land owners, and especially those that hunt, should exercise a little more understanding... That's all...

Property i hunt in pa is 90mi away and owned by my inlaws. No one really hunts it but me because of travel time and i worked all summer doing mineral sites clearing and moving stands. I had 2 nice bucks Id shoot coming regularly. Come late Oct when i started hunting i saw nothing for a few sits, then took a small 8. On my way to my truck i see a guy at my truck on atv and he asks me where im hunting. I say my property here. He says oh thats yours? My brother killed a big 7 and i got a big 8 up there. Never saw anyone here, been turkey hunting the top for years! The top is only accessable thru other private land. wtf! I feel your frustration and agree somthing needs to be done.
