Sitting in my dads blind again tonight .

Somber at best. Just remembering the last bunch years I sat here with him .

I have his buck knife he carried for over 50 years , to use if a buck presents itself.

Also torn as dad never cared about horn size. So telling myself taking a buck with xbow regardless of size. But hoping its not a young buck with potential that comes in.

A few does in the hay field now .

Will see what the night brings

Im shooting a reworked KI with the next quad accelerator cams ..

Uses two sets of limbs I paralleled. 320# draw .shoots a little over 700 ft per second.

They cant jump this one at 100 yards.

No second shot though. Takes a boat winch to draw it

 

Bolts im shooting are custom made 2512 filled with titanium.

Will shoot right through a 6" cement wall

Good hunting Dan and if it's a memorial buck it's just my opinion but I say go old school and do what he would have done and be happy. Those old birds who lived both the depression and WW2 had a totally different view of things than we could ever have.

Had alot deer around .spread around hay field .

Dog ran out in the field . Its now empty.

Still half hour of shooting light
