I think it is an excellent idea.

Went on the site, it appears that you install the lugs ahead of time and the drum slips over them when needed.

The problem will be weither or not there is an anchor point inline with the wheels, and since you probably weren't driveing directly towards a tree or whatever to begin with, that could be an issue.

I guess you could use another Truck as an Anchor Point I just don't like using the front wheel for the winch I can see an alignment problem after its use.  :headscratch:

This idea has been around for years.

Works great if the vehicle is kept straight.

But, when your stuck vehicle begins to sway and turn, it don't seem to work out as well.

The rope seems to easily slip off the winding reel.

But, hey, I used one 40 plus years ago.

Just use a good heavy Warn Winch, no problems, works great.

Ephesians Chapter 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Joshua Chapter 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
