this is all i use any more, no swager needed, just pound on with hammer or put in a vice. they are small and hold, they have threads on the inside so dont over pound or you will cut cable.

What do you guys use for crushing your ferrels and cutting cable ? Not really looking to spend 80-100 bucks on a pair ..

Don't skimp on the cable cutters. :nonono:

 

If you get cheap cutters. You will be kicking yourself in the tail at a later date.

Double ferules, a hammer, and the anvil on my vise. Buy a pair of cable cutters. That is one tool where you will need the right tool for the job
