Boot blankets/covers.. Do they work?

I get cold feet. No matter what boots and socks, doesn't matter. I've seen book blankets, but always wondered if they actually work? Also I see there's a bunch of different brands.. What do you guys recommend? Thanks.

Ive used the boot blankets when I used to hunt Saskatchewan. I used to pack foot warmers in them. 

Sometimes I would actually remove my boots when I got to the blind or stand and slip my feet in them packed with foot warmers. Comfy!

Trick to keeping feet warm is being able to keep your socks and boots where you can wiggle your toes around comfortably. If your socks and boots are tight, your toes will freeze

My feet get cold no matter what I do also, I bought the boot blankets and I swear by them. I won't use them in a small hang on because they are bulky and I don't want to chance tripping but I use them any other time it's 35 degrees or colder. On real cold days or all day sits, drop a hand warmer in each and you'll be taking them off because your feet will get hot

Yes they work, The main thing is to put them on soon as you get on stand. Feet have to be warm already, if feet get cold and then you put them on they will keep the cold in

I have the arctic shield's and also swear by them. They fit right over my muck boots and stay nice and toasty.

 

As said you have to put them on while your feet are already warm. I had put them on with cold feet once and it took forever, but they did warm up eventually.

Thanks for the info so far guys, I wear size 10 lacrosse rubber boots. Should I go with large or extra-large?

I have the Hot mocs. I got them because they were not as bulky as the artic shield. I'd let you borrow them but I just let someone at work use them. I rarely use it because I'm in my IWOM. If you want to check out the IWOM sometime let me know.

I've used both artic shield and the other brand, name skips me. They both work very well and are easily stored in a day pack.

Before I had either of them I made my own redneck version. Once I got in my stand I would put a big sock that I cut in half and stretched out over my boot and throw a hand warmer. Helped out

My feet get cold as well. Toe warmers is my solution.

Get rid of the rubber boots when its cold and get a good pair of pac boots. It may cost you a decent amount of money but quality PAYS, IT DOESN'T COST. Don't EVER WEAR ANY CONTENT OF COTTON IN YOUR SOCKS. Cotton absorbs moisture and your sweat from your feet will cause you to get cold. Polypro liner sock as first layer, then the heaviest content merino wool sock you can find. Then try Toe Heaters. Open the Toe Heaters as you are getting dressed to allow them to activate and put them on last. I also have Boot Blankets but hardly use them. When I do I throw hand warmers inside them first.
