Franchi instinct sl

I'm looking to get a 20 gauge o/u

I wasn't looking to spend over $1000 but I held a franchi instinct sl

It's only 5.5lbs

I haven't heard anything about this gun I'm looking for input.

Does anyone have one or know anything about them?

Franchi is the Italian phrase for "really nice shotgun".  I love them and Beretta but they are pricey.

Take a peek at CZ upland ultralight. It fits your budget.

As for opinions , they are fine but what feels good to you may not feel okay to someone else. Handle/shoulder as many as you can. Hit some of the shows this winter.

I love it love it love it!  It is pretty much the only bird gun I use (and I have the L not the SL).  I've shot all the Brownings and could never come to spending the bucks for them.  I wanted something that if I beat it up, I wouldn't regret buying it, plus I can pass to my son. The Franchi fits the bill and quite frankly, I enjoy shooting it more than the Citori.  It has a nice swing to it and fit me out of the box.  My buddy bought one and that's all he uses.  Plus...it looks good in front of a dog!

I pulled the trigger yesterday and bought one

I was looking at a used citori but I couldn't see spending that money for a used gun with two chokes and some wear.

The franchi sl is a pretty little thing

Shoots great no recoil with high brass 5s which is surprising since it's only 5.5lbs

Shot a few birds today and It felt great in my hands.
