I won't be out, taking the day off from hunting. Rut whooped my butt these past few weeks. Looking forward to sleeping in and building up enough piss and vinegar to get to February now. lol

Looks a little windy, says 18mph here, so that's not too bad. I've seen (and missed) some of the biggest bucks on windy days. I think they know that most guys sleep in.

Pick a thicker tree so it's not a roller coaster ride. I was worried about blowing over in the one I was in one of the windy days this last week. Forget which day, but man oh man....Every heavy gust I would just pray! lol

Good luck everyone.

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear

Cant hunt in the morning as it will be raining, but the afternoon weather looks fantastic.

Maybe in Miami....Certainly won't be fantastic in any situation tomorrow:

.WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 4 PM EST SUNDAY...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind

Advisory, which is in effect from 5 AM to 4 PM EST Sunday.

* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* TIMING...Winds increase overnight, especially with a cold

frontal passage around daybreak Sunday and through the mid

morning hours behind the front. Strong winds will diminish later

in the afternoon and evening Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree

limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for

high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor

objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be

secured.

Well that went swimmingly! Up in my stand at 645 by 715 wind kept gusting and I looked at the forecast really quick and 25-30 sustained with gusts to 40mph and said there went that idea got down.

I will hunt tomorrow... Maybe I'll get a birthday buck!

Stay safe if you're headed out, that wind is ridiculous
