IWOM XL review.

Ok, so sat in 28 degree weather this morning with my IWOM. First the good. Suit is very well made, warm and comfortable. The quality is great. Pockets everywhere and it even has a pee hole. Now the bad. I wish they had more room by the feet. It seems to be about 18 inches in circumference but I wish they made it bigger. My feet with my Under Armour Bozemans size 10 had a little room but I like to have a wide stance when shooting my bow and would like more room to move around in there. I finally decided if I was too take a shot I would take one foot out of the bottom for better balance and adjustment. I hope they consider this and make it bigger because I am definitely off balance with a bow. For firearms where you have a rest it won't be an issue. I wore Cabelas tree stand thermals and my Savannah coveralls underneath, cotton socks and the Bozemans. I felt a tad cold in the toes and if I could wear my Artic Mucks I would have been very warm. The built in facemask is great but I prefer one that's not attached as I don't like my face rubbing on integrated face masks but you can just tuck it in if you prefer. Overall, I love it but I wish they made the bottom bigger for my feet. Here's a picture of my boots in it for reference (size 10 Artic Mucks). Hope this helps if anyone is considering these. The company is great however and you can test it for a full season with a full money-back guarantee. I just hope they consider this redesign.

Heater body suit has legs on it, no arms though just shrug it off to shoot., those look good otherwise.

Hey Paul, yeah I know about those but I like this better. Just that one little thing I think would make it awesome.

I use a heater body suit which comes with insulated bootys that slip over your boots to keep the inside clean

However I learned a better way while hunting in Saskatchewan.

Buy an extra pair of felt liners that are used in pack boots and once in the stand , take off the boots and use the felt pack boot liners instead.

one morning it was below zero and I dropped a hand warmer down each leg...kept me nice and warm.

Good ideas but what about the scent from the boots? Plastic bag?

I really hope they just address the issue. It would be a perfect system.

Yep that's a big problem when you are confined to this tiny platform. How do you turn around or 90 degrees for a shot. Also as you stated you can't have wider stands for stability. It should have individual legs so you can move around.

It just needs a bigger base. The idea is to keep everything inside but with a bigger base it would give you better mobility to turn around inside the unit. Edited by Jerseybassnbow

The great thing about a IWOM is its versatility. You can carry it in in its own self contained bag over your shoulder, you can wear it just as a jacket, or you can deploy it for a full length head to toe body suit. I honestly think if the foot area was larger it would effect the jacket wearing option.

Bigger base or two legs.

I read the solutions you guys came up with but all this is just too much shit to worry about while hunting. Walk in with boots, then take them of, put them in a plastic bag and what? I guess hang them somewhere. Too much. How do you turn and get decent wide stand for a right side, or right -behind shot if you are a righty?
