Maryland bound in the morning

Headed to Maryland for the 4th year of public land hunting tomorrow morning, killed my best buck, a 120" 9pt there last year. Went down in early October to hang cameras and found 2 dead bucks and my 2 text cameras have been very disappointing compared to last few years. I have 6 other cams down there so we will see if they are promising. I'm almost positive ehd hit the area when I found the dead deer and my text cams being slow is confirming it. If my other cameras are just as slow I will be coming back home tomorrow to hunt nj since I have some nice ones here. Hoping that's not the case. I do have this beauty 8pt but that's the only shooter I got pics of

Good luck! We just got back from the Virginia muzzy opener. It was warm with a North/Northeast wind. Very little deer movement. Way more ground scrapes than in the previous years and absolutely no buck rubs. We will be travelling back down this coming Wednesday and hunt through Sunday.

Well here's an update, got down there Monday morning, checked my cameras, had a few good bucks on cam but almost no does at any of my spots, did alittle scouting, found 3 dead does and a dead 4pt, almost no fresh tracks compared to previous years, no scrapes, only 2 fresh rubs. Sign was very disappointing, I decided to pack up my cameras and head back to jersey, I never thought I'd say this but this year I feel like I have a better chance of getting one in my lousy zone 26 spots. Looks like I have to find a new diy hunt for next year

U should have gave it a shot for a few days or so. I’m in talbot county hunting this week. Mon=no deer, tues morn=very little movement, tues aft=like a switched turned on, bucks chasing does everywhere. There is little sign where I hunt. I’ve never found great sign with these Maryland deer, we just hunt landscape features. Unfortunately I missed a nice P&Y yesterday when my bottom limb of my recurve hit my climber seat at the shot, should have been an easy kill! I did hear a lot of guys talking about ehd hitting some areas. Sounds like it hit ur area pretty good. U shouldn’t find that many dead deer in such a short time. On the bright side, jersey bucks seem to be moving pretty good, good luck
