immature baldies?

I was driving down the Musconetcong valley yesterday morning when I saw two "things" on the edge of a hay meadow, I thought they were coyotes. When I got closer I could see they were very large brown birds, I thought I was looking at a pair of migrating golden eagles.

that's a rib cage between them and a buck head in front of the one on the left, I was shooting directly into the sun, hence the crappy pics

 

Then this one flew over and it looked like am immature bald eagle to me, so I'm guessing they were all bald eagles

They look like bald eagles to me too.

There is a bald eagle nest on the lower part of the river. Bald eagles have become very common in that river valley over the years.

I watched a mature female (guess based on her large size) soaring over Sparta Glen on Saturday for several minutes.  It was perfect timing as the press and mayor and state senator were all there for a dedication of the restoration project we did on the Sparta Glen Brook last year.
