$$$ that is.... Burns my ass!   Z2, Z5 permit bow, and a buck tag... $28x3... All that and I still can't hunt for my "2nd buck" until Saturday.   (nice problem to have - i know). Just hate this stupid permit and buck tag system. 

 

I would actually pay more to see buck tags cut down to 2 per year, use them whenever you want so you can keep hunting until you use the 2nd tag.

I remember when it was an actual lottery having an actual chance of not getting a permit. It was a treat hunting in the rut when I was a kid! Now, it's all about the Benjamin's!

Damn spot on with that comment.  NJ is becoming more and more tyrannical with the state allowing certain freedoms as opposed to the people saying "no you are not allowed to have that much power".   DFW has been infected with that sickness.

I hear you. I did it last week and like you, with two zones it cost me $84. Lest face it, deer seasons and turkey seasons are set up the way they are to get as much money out of us as possible. It has nothing to do with conservation

You stole my thunder Lunatic.  It's not about conservation or animal control.  It's all about the money and politics.   I don't carry water for DFW or the DEP.   They both need a serious overhaul in personnel and policy.

I don't see anything changing anytime soon. You should be able to only to buy an extended archery permit that covers every zone with option to buy a buck tag. Put a limit on the doe in that period

Ha, imagine what I'm paying for all the tags as a non-res. Then Im paying for my sons tags also.I hunt ny as a res, and jersey as a non-res. I must be nuts because I'm thinking I need to start hunting Pa as well next yr.
