Bears vanished for most part during the recent season. I had one pic of a small bear, was hoping someone would take this big bellied / big nutted boy out...

 

I even had a buddy hunt there last two days of season, he put everything including the kitchen sink out , including sweet dreams, apples, and anise oil along with a honey burn... NOTHING...  

 

One day after season - BAM

They are smart animals the bears. I spent 4 out of 6 days in the woods and didnt see anything

That’s why I love hunting can never figure the animals out. I think it’s cool when they out smart us. It’s keeps us die hards coming back for more

Back when the kids were younger we had 12 longbeards feeding in the yard the Sunday before youth day.  Come Saturday we didn't hear a single gobble.
