ALBIE bite

Recommended Posts

nah I think you handicap yourself with a fly rod in the salt unless it's Florida keys or Boca grande.i only fly fish for trout and steelhead

Not with a two hand fly rod. I've seen countless days where the fly guys out finished the spin guys because we could better imitate the bait especially when it is small. And with a two gander, we can cast it almost as far as the average spin fisherman.

I don't know all bout that now I throw a odm genesis 9ft 10lb braid with that epoxy jig I'll cast that all the way to rockaway beach and crush albies.im too busy casting and slamming to really worry about what the other anglers are doing.without a doubt it's a art I respect it on the fly rod I just never got the feel in saltwater for it.i like to be prepped for whatever surfaces with the rips there I can easily throw on a 2oz buckie and crush bass or a Northbar darter the fly guys can't fish big water when them bass are in the rips Edited by smoking gun
