Something to remember...

With all the nonsense going around, watching the anti's lose their goddamm minds this week is like clockwork it is important to keep a few things in mind. All of the comments on the online news outlet stories, in all of their groups they are capable of only one thing.

 

Self righteous indignation and hand wringing caused by a moral, emotional, and philosophical objection over something they do not like.

 

So what is it that they do?

 

They tell flat out lies, they make personal attacks against hunters, their manhood, their families, their children, their places of business. They use ad hominem attacks, they revel in their anguish and emotional distress without noticing the irony.

Here is what they do not do, which is more important. They do not, can not, and will not, use facts. They do not want a debate, a discussion, or a compromise, they want it their way or no way at all. They refuse to listen to actual information, they refuse to acknowledge proven management techniques, they think it is some grand conspiracy.

 

They do not want to listen, they never did. They want to use misinformation to further their agenda, they crave politicians pandering to them for a vote.

 

For over a decade now I have been going at it with these people, not one has been able to answer the questions posed or took up my challenge to a debate covered by the media outlet of their choice.

Use facts, use credible information, when they make their usual claim of it being "junk science" ask them what THEY have that refutes or contradicts the information you present to them, ask them what studies or information they have at their disposal that shows how they are right and you are wrong.

 

They claim it is a "trophy hunt" out of one side of their mouth then bemoan that "mothers and cubs will be killed" out of the other.

 

They claim the hunt is "lining the pockets of the DEP and F&G", yet when you point out the permit fee is a measly $2 you get a blank stare.

 

Ask them the important questions, the questions that matter. Ask them their cost effective, viable, alternative to a hunt that will reduce the population and keep it in check, that will remove known, categorized, nuisance bears from the population and will reduce the number of human/bear incidents.

 

Ask them if the state is lying about the population what study they have that shows the dna population estimate study conducted by East Stroudsburg University is incorrect.

 

Think, speak, and act like an educated person, not like a feral animal screaming epithets, flipping hunters off, lying in the middle of the road, and holding signs on the other side of the road in Fredon.

Call your politicians and speak in the manner mentioned above, let them be the ones looking like rabid toddlers.

I think you have a serious problem and you know what it is.  You are trying to be logical.  You are trying to frame the issue around a set of facts that the other side claims are false and do not exist.   You/us think in a manner that leads to a conclusion where the opposition does not want a conclusion.  They want chaos and no conclusion but want "regulation" to protect the bears.  It is impossible to have a rational discussion with them where they think bears are some sort of deep thinking, buddha like creature at peace with the world, when the reality is far different.   To conclude,  these same people who protest the hunt are never to be seen at real place of killing, abortion clinics.

You are saying this as if I have not been doing this, year in and year out, since around 1997? Isn't that the first year they held a hunt for 'yotes? I started back then and have been vocal regarding bears since it began.

 

i am acutely aware of the mental illness that is animal rights activism.

 

Who do you think John Q Public will/would listen to, rational comments from educated individuals knowledgeable on the topic, or crazy ladies screaming obscenities, wishing death upon people, and polluting the air with ammonia fumes because they reek of cat piss.
