I'm leaving for upstate NY the second week of May. We will be fishing a smaller lake north of Lake George, i know some of the lakes in the area just iced out so its going to be COLD. What are your go to baits for early season bass? I know the traditional jerk baits and lipless cranks but does anyone have a go to spring bait that seems to work well? Ill be bringing the arsenal with me, but figured I would ask to see what everyone thinks. Hoping this warmer weather will put the lake temps up to 50 but i might be dreaming...Thanks guys

Nice!  I'm sure chrisn will chime in here...he's been known to catch a bass or two!

I'm headed up to PA to fish for smallies on the Susquehanna in mid May as well, Dad's birthday trip...should be a lot of fun!

yea i cant wait to get a week off..its been too long..yea i was hoping Chris would chime in i hear he catches them every once in a while..good luck in PA Matt hope you guys destroy them..i gotta get out on the river soon
