First Bear Bait Is In

Went up this morning, and put out just around 100 lb. of bait......Donuts, sausage, fish sticks, pizza, bread, macaroni, and bbq pig carcass

That pile doesn't look too appealing right now.

How was it dragging that sled?  I put my 30lb grandson in mine and felt like I was pulling a 120lb deer across the lawn.  To much friction without snow, or something slippery like pine needles under it.  I think mine is wider than that, though, or is that also  54" long?

Ya, I think it would be a lot easier to drag a deer out without it on dry ground.  Less ground contact, and the deer hair slides better.

Last year I had some 400, 500 plus pound bears coming in, but two weeks before the season they became nocturnal

Not nearly as much action as I had last year......I had on my first bait this year a 400 plus pound bear who walked within 20 yards of me in mid July, also on bait was a small 120 lber, and a 300 pound sow with 3  cubs.....only the 400 lb bear hasn't shown up

I am noticing that i dont have the activity i did 2 weeks ago. Rebaited yesterday and only 1 small bear came in so far.

friend of mine as well, his first bait this season he had a huge bear and various other bears, now just small bears with a big sow with 3 cubs
