Blinds on sedge islands

I have been boating on barnegat bay this summer and have noticed duck blinds on a lot of the wmas and I was wondering if they were public or private. I thought you weren't allowed to build on public land? If anyone has any info on them that would be great. It's my first time hunting on the bay this year

I am not saying it is right or defending it.I live down here where this goes on and I am telling you your right can wind up costing you 4 tires. Sometimes it is like Kentucky down here.Just stay away from my tree.LOL

Not for certain but that is probly not sedge island wma. Sedge island wma is behind ibsp. The law says u can't on a wma says nothing about other public land

There are only certain WMAs that prohibit the building of permanent duck blinds. All the rest it is 100% legal to build a permanent blind on. That being said, if you find a spot that the birds work a permanent blind is the best way to attract other hunters to your spot. There are also some privately owned islands and sections of marsh throughout the bay and many of those areas have blinds on them. Go to the division website and cross reference with the tax maps and see where you can and can't be

if it's upper barnagrtte wma than its not on the list were permanent blinds are not allowed
