Baiting Bears.....When Will You Start Your Baits?

I will start mine around August 11th same time I did last year, bait once per week then 3 times in the last week leading up to the hunt

I said "thinking" about it, not baiting now. Even August 11th is kinda early isin't it, season starts in Dec.!

Lol, no need for all that...I know this is your first year but 4 weeks prior is fine. Bear baiting is a great way to loose weight thou, but the heat of the summer will kill you. Bear country is typically all up hills. Put a lot of smelly treats out for them and they get on it fairly quick.

I'm doing two weeks prior this year cause I moved out of state....my barrel still out there thou waiting for me. Sometimes that's quite a battle to get that out there.
