10 minutes at my bird feeder

Recommended Posts

I am stopping the feeding for now... I only do it to keep the annual Rose Breasted Gross Beaks around and happy through birthing. Now they are ready to move on..  This season had the usual bear drama as result, but I started keeping it on the "other side" of the dog fence so it minimized damage to the fence and other things... It kept a lot of turkeys around, and the daily fox sightings were like clockwork and was cool to see them catch a squirrel two days in a row.

I have quite a few bluebirds that stay local all year round.  Their favorite nesting place is the neck of an old deer 3d target. Must be nice and warm and dry in there. I have several bluebird houses on edge of woods scattered about. The feeder means nothing to them - they don't seem to eat sunflower seeds - they seem to prefer live stuff...

I should get a good camera with zoom one of these days  the bluebird pics alone would be worth it.

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

Yes Bluebirds are with us all year. Unfortunately I don't have any in my area but I get to watch them in the winter while hunting,
