Crabbing Bait

A quick crabbing question.  Heading to LBI next week and I was wondering if anybody knows the best to get Razor Clams or Crab bait would be?  Thanks

Razor clams are great bait but are not readily available in Nj. They must be rigged in bags. I have seen them supplied in Maryland by ordering in advance . Chicken parts, including necks, legs and wings are fine.

I use from Bunker to Chicken  Killies on a wire loop was even considered the Best.

Obviously since you mentioned "killies on a wire loop" it's what I used for years with good success, dint think it was offensive. Lol

I see Killies  $7 a pint in local tackle shops    seems they are hard to come by And The  Commercial MASTERBAiTERS have an edge .I set my Trap incoming tide with crushed Crab Bodies is a Mesh bag and have to set it in the Grassy part of Creek or it will fill up with Spearing.  One Creek produces Big Killies 3" while the other only small to babies.  

Suggestion place traps in small creeks up from the outlets   Raritan Bayshore Like Belford Union Beach Keansburg Port Monmouth has very productive Creeks Along with Very Productive Trap Thieves.  I fish near By while it soaks. OH, My name and Phone # are on it  Just like a Crab Pot.  

Cast netting is another subject but not for Killies   But a Seine net is it some areas.
