:cupcoffee:  This is one of many from many Years ago.  On The Raritan Bayshore,  locals may know the area.

Fish are a Striper and a Weakfish the later were very common in this area and Still are but not that size even Spanish Mackeral were Common have not heard of them for some time.  But tight lips on the Weakfish.  Kayak fishing definitely has an advantage over Power Boats when fishing this area once any motor traffic begins they are Spooked and Gone.  Was always setup and in Place hours before sunrise.

Any Yakers getting into this action I see a lot in the area what's Happening

Nice. Ive only caught some smallmouth bass in my yak. Have to take it out in the bay and go for somthing bigger. Do these big guys take your yak for a wild ride when you hook em?

A Big Blue Fish can Turn you but no Sleighride. had fellow SOT Yakers that would launch in the surf out front Sharks can and will tow U around. Bay kayaking is very rewarding.  And most fellow Yakers are willing to share.  Plus the places to Launch are Free and numerous

From South Amboy all along the  Shoreline of the Bay and Navesink and Shrewsbury.

For Stripers. Blue's Fluke Weakfish Porgies Sea Bass Black Fish Drums Sharks and other small seasonal ones like Kings Croakers Spots. some even Crab from them great for Scalping and picking off Pilings and Bulkheads towing Basket or Cooler.

You will find Kayak Fishing is an adventure everytime you go One Important Point is Saftey LIFE JACKET and they do not work unless you have it on.   Safety Equipment is a Topic on its own.  There once was a Forum ( Site ) Kayakfishingstuff.Com that I was one of the posters when it Started Now a Memory.  The owner had some Kayak Stores treated everyone Good.

Hopefully, this Topic will gather Followers.   Even Meetups.  I have Volumes of Information Gathered over those years from Maps to DIYS projects.  My Bucket list was to Kayak the Delaware from NY Line to Easton but got to do some 100 miles of Camping and Paddling Favorite section from Dingmans to Bull Island.

Anyone interested just post or PM what I have to Share is Yours.

Wanweanda? --Delaware River  Back then Camping and Kayaking  At Worthington was the best was home base for many trips up and Down Even did a Paddle from there to Rt 206 Camped and returned back.

but

stuck to Saltwater Except for The Surf Launch if there were waves above 2 feet. plus dragging the kayaks across the beaches sucked.

Hope U join in with others to keep this going.
