In 2006 I had 24 wooden windows with the aluminum storm and screens replaced with vinyl double hung windows.

 

They were not Anderson but came highly recommended by my contractor. I was skeptical but my son was my contractor so I went along.

 

Over the last 11 years they performed flawlessly, were extremely warmer that the ones I replaced and greatly reduced outside noise.

I noticed a few years ago that about 7 sections developed leaks in the gas seals and discolored or got speckled, as is known to happen to this type of window, and therefore needed to be replaced.

 

I called MI Windows & Doors, located in Gratz, PA the company who made them expecting to be hastled but had an extremely personable customer service rep tell me that my windows had a 20 year replacement guarantee.

They sent me instructions and forms to complete regarding measuring the ones that needed replacement.

 

They received my request on Monday, June 26th and my replacements were delivered yesterday Wednesday, July 5th.

 

Imagine that.  A company that stands behind their product, provides great customer service and builds there product here in the USA.

 

I'd highly recommend them to anyone who is considering window replacements.

Good to know  My windows were new when we bought the house. Warranty was transferred over to us. Had 2 windows leak, no problems, they got replaced free of charge. Now I have 2 more that gaskets leaked. Of course, this company is OOB. I believe it was TJ Perkins? I will put that company in my files for future replacement, Thanks Bob!
