Is the day I go and have neck surgery, fusing C-6-7, if all goes well I'll have my temp disability paper work filed by the end of the week then I look toward a 6 month recovery time before I go back to work, I was told by my HR dept, that with addional FMLA paper work they will hold my job for twelve weeks, I'll be down for 24 weeks, so I think I'll be out f a job, and since I drive 140 miles round trip m a bit worried I won't be re hired, frigging drama never ends with this, so I'm just gonna take it a step at a time and see what happens.

Wish u the best. Talk to your boss he may be able to help you or at least maybe find a temporary person to fill your position in the tone you aste out.

Hell, we are short handed as it is!! We could use 5 more techs besides me. I have a feeling that if corporate does let me go after the 12 week hold my direct boss will just hire me back, seems stupid but there it is.

That sucks. At first when you mentioned your accident, it didn't look all that bad - the back of the truck took the brunt of it. Was it whip lash that slipped a disc in your neck or something? Seems really bad that a rear-ender results in needing neck fusion surgery so soon after the accident!

Good Luck Note next time you talk to your lawyer ask about Disability Leave Not  FMLA  But again it might be Company Policy But still worth asking.

sucks for you!!! Lol, trust me, this is the last thing I need!!

 

 

 

Mazz, yeah it was the hit that did it, I tried an epidural, but that only lasted a week and a half, yeah the truck took the brunt of it, but the tool hit me at around 35-40 mph never hitting the break, so it ended up a helava solid thump!
