Fly fishing the SBR 5/26

Hit the South Branch for a couple hours today. I finally figured out how to pretty safely take pictures of the fish without stressing them or drowning my phone.

 

Two bonuses today. I only lost one fly and I caught three browns. Two of them came on back to back drifts. All were small, but I always enjoy the wilds no matter what size.

 

Can't say the stocked rainbows aren't fun to catch though too! All of them were pretty fish, good size and very feisty. In fact one of them rocketed out of the water over my head and another tried to swim 5 hole before I closed the wickets. Very fun day.

Brian, it would be great if me, you, big Mike and Dan can get out for a day. I'd love to fish with you guys!!! Mike and I have talked about it, but haven't gotten to go together yet and Dan has been guiding in the Catskills a lot I guess.

 

I also wonder if we could get Rusty to fly fish.  :hmmmer:

I'm sure we can do that!  As for Rusty, we can easily appeal to the biologist in him.  He'll fold like a cheap suit.
