Now here's a topic that shouldn't lead to much debate

 

What terminal tackle do you guys use on your main line to leader/buck tail?

 

I'm a 3way swivel guy but the drop swivels have peaked my interest ..

 

For the record I'm in no way a bait dragger.

I just go with a barrel swivel connecting my braid to a fluoro carbon leader.

Flouro top shot tied to Braid with a PR knot.

dropper loop tied  about a foot above the bucktail.

Handshake loop knot to 3' for teaser line from the dropper loop

Works for me for Fluke Blues Stripers from the surf and Bank, not from a Boat. 

 

Plus I have been a Circle Hook advocate for many years.

as long as your using 40 pound and up ,you shouldnt have any spinning issues. unless you have a twisted bait on.

I myself use 50 pound and 65 pound flouro as it kinks and twists less than regular leader

20 pound twists way too easy. and once it does it once it will continue to wrap itself up.

heavier leader wont do that as quickly

as far south as you can get for fishing ...

 

I agree to some extent about no hardware but it makes it much easier to change leaders/colors and with the shallower water 50' - I tend to go lighter with leaders ..
