Congrats, Very Nice Buck... Thanks for sharing that story. It's really nice to read that there are still some good guys out there whom are always ready to help a buddy to get back out and do we what we love. Hope your leg continues to make a full recovery.

"a good friend of mine" I would say a GREAT friend and if that little guy gets a brother any time soon your great friends name should be at the top of the list (IMHO) Nice buck and you got him against the odds with the help of a good guy it might not get any better.

You're correct Jakesbeard i should have used the word GREAT.I have been hunting with mako since grade school.
It was a very memorable hunt for me.

That's awesome!! I had a friend offer to do the same for me during the late season Delaware muzzleloader season. I hurt my knee in December was unable to hunt all of January. The last week of January was the muzzleloader season and he said just hobble down here I'll take care of the rest. Unfortunately I came down with the flu and couldn't make it. Friends like that are hard to come by and I'll be forever thankful to my friend for the offer. Nice buck and nice job helping a friend Mako....congrats!!!
