More shadmania

Took Holly for her first shad trip ever, North of Bushkill, South of Dingman's.  It was mostly insane action, a continuous stream of doubleheaders from 3pm to 6pm. Never really could get all the rods in the water. Windy as hell at times.  According to our pitch clicker/counter - we netted 32. I said we would quite at 30 but while fighting #30 last two rods in water got bit and had to land those too. The fish are getting bigger, some real big girls tonight. I think two might have one the $10,000 BiState tournament, if it was a week ago!  Left them biting real good at 6pm and had some great steamers, salad, and pizza at A&G Layton Hotel. Even the dog had a great time swimming before launching and after taking boat out.  God home, parked the boat, went to let Mako out the back door and there stood a 250-300lb standing up about to take my birdfeeder off the shepard's hook.  Mako chased him up a tree, and I gave him some additional negative reinforcement. Hope he doesn't come back!
