Brakeless gobbler

Went out one last time in an attempt to get my buddy Tom another bird, but the cameraman couldn't get the birds in frame so he passed the shot.

By 8:00 it was time for me to go to work. We said our good byes and I headed to work, three miles down the road,my brake pedal went to the floor.

A call to my mechanic and a 1:00 Appointment was made....well...with 3 hours to spare...whats a Turkey Hunter to do.....GO HUNTING...

Went back home, grabbed my gear and headed to the closest property I could hunt.

As I opened the truck door a bird was hammering away in the woods across the field.

Within a half hour he was headed my way. Suddenly two other gobblers came from the right and a gobbler fight took place about 70 yards from me. When they settled their score, the two new comers headed to my calls....at 40 yards the strutted bit the dust.
