Giant pen deer

These antlers were cut off a live buck above the burr. The deer is a breeder buck and still alive.

I rebuilt the burrs with epoxy and got a spare cape to mount the deer for my client.

Wow, that is an incredible buck! I would still rather shoot a public land basket 8pt over that any day of the week, even if I had the $ for that type of "hunt".

Regardless of where it came from, that's gonna make a great looking mount.   

 

That type of hunt is not for me, but the deer farmer made money, the hunter is happy, and Jay makes a buck mounting it.  I've got no problem with that.

God bless America. You have the freedom to choose fair chase or preserve hunting. As long as no diseases are spread from captive deer to wild populations. In some states that is a concern. Although it is not for me I respect the farmers right to raise deer and do with his stock as he wishes, within the law.

Same guy.. he didn't kill the deer. He got the racks from a preserve and asked me to mount them for his weekend hunting cabin.
