First off, there is no "good" view of Newark.

That stairway to heaven hike?  I need to look on a map where that actually is, but it's a PITA switchback.

 

Yes.  Park on rt 94 in Vernon where the AT crosses.  It's a short (1.3 mi) but steep hike up to Pinwheel Vista.

I'm taking a group from Buttermilk Falls to Hidden Falls this Saturday if you want to take your bride on a short scenic hike Jay.  It's not a great hike for dogs but I'm sure your wife will enjoy the waterfalls.

No, this is not on the Kittatinny Mountains.  That's the Kittatinny Mountains in the distance.
