Slower than usual tonight at the Flatbrook, still great

The rainbows seemed to be biting very lightly for some reason and was definitely a little different...Ended up keeping 7 between my son and I and released 6-7 more. Found that the difference between red shrimp salmon eggs and  pink ones is amazing to us.....The trout didn't touch the red ones, but as soon as we swapped one out with a pink one, Bam!

Alternated between eggs and spinners and had lots of fun. A guy across from us hooked a trout that couldn't have been more than 15" but it must have jumped 8 or 9 times like a salmon before he netted it. As soon as he took out his stringer to hook it up, the fish jumped one last time out of his net and back into the Flatbrook free to jump again lol!

Now that's some great family time right there.  Can't wait for the smoked trout at Jack's.

Gonna bring a stack of smoked ones to Jack's. The rainbows come out awesome smoked! Thanks

NICE!!! I gotta tell you I cringe a bit when I see a young fella not wearing his glasses, buddy of mine is blind in one eye from a split shot that flew back at him when a hook popped on a fish, and I have pic on my wall of a tiny fly imbedded in an eyeball.....just saying, be careful.

without me, my rifle is nothing
