Mayor Al Kurpis asks for a new Wildlife Management Committee to be formed last month whose members focus only on the non-lethal options.

Dean Cerf, a local vet, the chairman of a new committee supports neutering and spaying deer.

An aerial survey Cerf funded

revealed 209 deer living in the borough.

Saddle River wants

"gender neutral deer,"

deer managed with

lethal measures are not an option.

Gender neutral deer?  Does this mean that if a buck with a basket 8 identifies as a doe, we cannot harvest the buck with a buck tag?
