Hi Guys, I may get a lot of heat for this but I'm posting it anyway... I'm a Jersey transplant who now lives in Hawaii. I love hunting, fishing and hiking..For those first timers planning to visit the Big Island of Hawaii ( during the off/non hunting season ), don't miss out on this awesome hike. No sheds here, but a lot of memorable views  and an elusive green beach :)...I miss Jersey !!

I've been to the black one and the red one. Probably won't get to the green one though

Did the full and complete Big Island experience last November with my gal...   Started in Kona, drove to Black Sand Beach, hiked to the live lava tube where it hits the ocean, stayed in Volcano Nat'l Park, drove all the over the mountains along the east coast back over to Northern West Coast and stayed near Hapuna Beach.     There is a great Big Island Brewhaus way up in the mountains, had best beer I ever tasted (besides Haskell Hunters of course)

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

I've been talking to locals here..They say Axis deer, illegally transported from Maui are here on the Big Island..We shall see ....,

That Northeast quadrant of the island north of Hilo, with all the cattle farming looks like driving through Sussex, Warren or Hunterdon counties in many spots. So green and hilly, with all that beef!   Looks like deer would thrive there for sure.  I hope the Axis gets established there.
