water temps

Recommended Posts

Lots and lots of snow is still covering the ground throughout the upper Delaware drainage.  That's what's keeping river temps so low as it slowly melts.  It is great for our badly depleted groundwater supplies as well as our reservoirs, but not so good for early spring fishing.  But after our current drought, I'll take a snowy melt-off any day!  This will greatly help our trout waters....

Totally agree - I never really considered march much of a fishing month anyway, traditionally would have ice fished Jan/Feb with some wood cutting, March is a wood splitting month and starting to "think" about fishing...   This snow did more good than bad overall for better fishing in April/May.

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…
