I keep getting a box on my screen from    "iexplore" Asking for a log in info for "virteq.com". 

 

Real PIA anyone know what this is?

I think it means thanks for the great news you gave us all on the update thread.  For real though, I have no idea what those popups are. I am computer illiterate.

Steve,  had that happen the other day.  I restarted puter and it stopped

This was an issue for the site from a few weeks ago.

Try doing a hard refresh on IE.

With this site open in IE, on your keyboard hold down CTRL and then hit F5

Let me know if it goes away.

Ad ware ... from their site: Stay up to date on the latest and greatest happening at Virteq for product announcements, bug fixes, news, giveaways, discounts, and ...

 

Get the program Malware Bytes from malwarebytes.com to get rid of those popups. If you're using Chome, install the free ad block 'AdBlock'

I had the same problem yesterday and I'm using a macbook pro.  I just closed out safari and reopened it and it went away.  Seemed like a phishing scam or somethings that will allow those goat jumpers access to my computer

Check out http://forums.survivalcache.com/index.php?/topic/5547-virteq-pop-up/   From Drew - the admin of the Survival Cache Forum on March 1 "It has been brought to my attention that using certain web browsers, you may see a popup from Virteq.com asking you to log in. Until we can disable it, simply cancel or "x" the pop-up out. Virteq designed the skin on this forum, and likely they have changed/adjusted code and this pop-up is a result. I'm doing research to figure out how to eradicate the pop-up. For now, cancel or view through Google Chrome - it doesn't seem to have the issue."

 

So use Google Chrome until they fix it.
