Priming powder for flintlocks?

Anyone know where to get any? Thinkin' about PA since there's none in NJ, but I'd like it to be near the border with Sussex county as I don't like 3 hour drives.

Dixon's in Kempton, PA has it.  Off of 78 about 15 minutes before Cabelas.

 

What are you using for the main charge?  If it's 2F or 3F and you have a tuned lock, either will work just fine, you shouldn't even notice a difference.

I got it at Bob's Little Sport Shop, which I'm pretty sure is too far from you.  I'm surprised there's no local shops near you that carry it.

Tried Dunkelberger's, great store, but they didn't have their license for BP or something.

 

Pretty sure I need FFFF for the priming charge, and I think I'm think using FFF for the main charge.

Just use the 3F you won't notice the difference and you only need to carry the one powder.

I go to Dixons in Kempton also. I use ffff in the pan and fff down the barrel. Carrying 2 powders isnt bad since you probably carry a pan primer in you pocket or around your neck. Its hard to find blackpowder anymore because of storage regulations but Dixons always has it in plenty and just about everything else you can think of for traditional ML

cappy   Dixons is one of my favorite stores. last time I was there I bought a knife made from a longspring trap. custom made sheath to go with it. I love that little thing.

 

dixons will have everything you need for blackpowder and then some. plus I like to look at the tanned fur. now I wanna go there this weekend.
