After tanning

Once I'm done tanning my fox hide, is there a need to wash the fur to get the smell out of it and alittle of the tanning oil that got on it or should I just blow dry it and combo out the hair?? Also can I throw it in the drier on fluff cycle with maybe a dryer sheet for a few min?

I  wouldnt use the  clothes dryer stay away from too much heat. You can wash it use some dawn . Ring it out by hand then roll in a towel to take away the access water. Then if you can use a hair dryer but keep a good distance away and that should fluff it up nicely. If  you dry tanned already you will might not want to rehydrate that skin. If that is the case just spray the fur with a deodorizer .

How did that tanning oil work?? Can you post pictures. Was it tough to do?

I used the " trappers tanning formula" and followed their instructions. So far it's come out pretty dam good for my first time. I'm on day 3 of letting it try and I've worked the hide alittle everyday . Lastnight I hit it with a wire wheel and worked it some more....I would think I'll be ready to flip it fur out tomorrow moring and that's why I asked about washing the fur because I did get some of the oil on the fur and the fur kinda clumped up together so I want to give a final wash....I'll post some pictures tomorrow
