I caught a female mink today and like alawys I was going to realease it. I didnt have a good grip on her and she got me good. moral dont be dumb like me and get bit. but if you do make sure you take the skull intact and put it in a ziplock bag. take it to vet and they will box it on ice and give you a form to fill out. then take box & form to county health dept. and they will send it to state to have it tested for rabies. in a day or so I should have the results. its better to be safe then sorry. I got two holes right through the nail and 4 or 5 outside the nail

Heavy gloves are your friend no matter what the temps. Got hit by fox, coon, fisher, and bobcats with the gloves and no damage. Got sliced by a couple of non-targets without them
