The governor of CT will not help ICE as they enforce the law on illegal criminal aliens........

BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut (WABC) -- The man accused of killing the mother of his daughter in Connecticut and then fleeing with the child, prompting a multi-state Amber Alert, isn't supposed to be in the U.S.

Federal authorities said Oscar Obedio Hernandez, a citizen of El Salvador, was deported in 2013. He somehow got back into the country.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement released a statement talking about his criminal history:

"Oscar Obedio Hernandez, a citizen of El Salvador, was issued a Final Order of Removal by an immigration judge on Oct. 29, 2013. He was removed from the United States by ICE officers in Hartford, CT on Nov. 27, 2013. He has prior felony convictions from 2002 for assault and threatening, as well as several misdemeanor convictions. ICE has placed an immigration detainer with the Bridgeport (Connecticut) Police Department."

The detainer means ICE will deport Hernandez again after criminal charges are resolved in the U.S.

The Amber Alert was issued Friday morning for 6-year-old Aylin Sofia Hernandez. Police said her father stabbed mother Nidia Gonzalez to death in her Bridgeport home.

They were found hours later on I-99 in State College, Pennsylvania. The girl was not hurt.

Another woman was also stabbed in the incident, but she is expected to survive.
