MY attempt at venison cheese meat sticks! (PIX)

A big THANKS to JH for posting up the cheese venison meat sticks. They looked awesome, so I had to try them. I did a few things different, but they came out great. Pretty simple.. what I did was, threaded the cheese (some cheddar and some mozz) I then seasoned the ground meat with bread crumbs, hot sauce, 2 eggs, fresh parsley, salt/pepper, onion/garlic powder. I formed the meat around the cheese, and baked in the oven for about 10 min. In the meantime, I sauted diced fresh garlic, and jalapeños. I took some dough, and spread the garlic/jalapenos on the dough, and added a little olive oil. I took the meat sticks out of the oven, and wrapped the dough around them, and baked for another 10 min. I guess it was kinda like a poor mans beef wellington. It came out fantastic. Thanks again to JH for the idea!

i fully expect each and every member to take this to new heights!  Well done... In fact - all around the country they have "best bbq" cookoffs, I am thinking we give it  about a year to prepare, and next winter we have our first NJW&W "meat on a stick cookoff"...

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…
