2/5 Carni Four report

Recommended Posts

Sat in the blind tonight looking to shoot a doe.

Settled in at 230 and had deer around most of the afternoon , but nothing close.

Had a few spikes and two shed bucks hanging around when a big doe finally strolled past.

Slipped the Carni Four Grim Reaper behind her shoulder ,exiting out the farside shoulder blade.

Bolt zipped right through crushing through a few ribs and the offside lower scapula .

Deer ran less than 60 yards ,the last 30 leaving a 2' wide blood trail.

Big square wound channel , with decent entrance hole, and a huge exit hole.

2nd doe shot with the same head,.

The 2 longer blades busted off where the bolt contacted the frozen ground.

Rest of the head and 2 smaller blades were intact.

They don't come with the practice tip in four blade. Did you shoot them in advance on a target to see if there was any POI change on field tips. Thinking about trying out myself. I use the three blade now but didn't want to waste a head if I didn't have to. Have plenty of 3 blade practice tips. What do you think? Really appreciate the heads up.

They shot the same as the 3 blade whitetail specials

To check it I just wrap a piece of electrical tape around the blades so they don't open.

And shot themy into a layered block target.

I may like these better than the whitetail specials because you get a better entrance hole .

But both heads work great .
