So... how does this benefit a nj resident?

Let's say you get your Utah?

You will be traveling with a handgun and Hollow points in your vehicle until you reach a state where you can carry.

This doesn't incrude PA, PA doesn't recognize a license unless you have one from home state,  DE would be good they recognize UTAH.

But you would traveling illegally through NJ until you reached the other state right?

Maybe.

Some folks from NJ2AS made a road trip to advocate for changes in the law.  Although it hasn't been published or revised yet, there is a chance that it will allow some exceptions.

Blog post here:  http://www.nj2as.org/nj2as_makes_federal_dubut_fighting_for_nj_ccw_and_national_reciprocity

See point #3.

While this is promising news, only the final wording in the bill will tell if you can carry hollow points in NJ without fear of felony prosecution.

It would be an awesome bitch-slap to the libbies in Trenton if this does get passed.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

Are you saying the state has the option to not abide if nationwide concealed carry is passed?

Not legally as federal law trumps state law, but look no further that states legalizing marijuana or cities ignoring federal law and being sanctuary cities. Both are federally illegal, but to date, the feds aren't bothering to enforce their laws on those states in question.  So yes, NJ could refuse to issue although it would likely go to the SCOTUS fairly quickly and the person or group that would bring that suit would win.  That would be the only way NJ would ever issue CC permits.

Fyi...

There is controversy about DE and non resident carry licenses. Delaware may have large change coming Sept. 2017.

Use Google foo.

why not? 13 mayors in this state are publicly not abiding federal immigration laws, no that far fetched is it?

Hunt with a Vizsla, cause life's to short to hunt with an ugly dog! :D RIP Tilly monster. (Attila) 2004-2017.
