Transfer Handgun Ownership

My Dads a retired Leo....I would like to transfer ownership of his service revolver.

I have Fid but own no handguns.

My my best plan of attack?

 

You need a handgun permit. On the bottom is a Part A and Part B. One part is for a retail sale, the other part is for a private sale. Complete the sections required and send the required copies to those that are needed as stated on the lower right hand corner of the permit.

If it is a intra-family gift, does it need a Handgun Purchase Permit?

 

Yes, unless it is an inheritance situation

My Dad is still alive....thank God..... I would like to make my ownership something that would be simple and usable for me in nj. i plan on moving to NC in a year a so and want to transport to NC without any complications....please help.

Going to pull a permit.....Confused about transfer from NJ to NC.....not wanting to have any issues crossing state lines....in leaving Russia going to USA.

Buy/transfer it here by Permit to Purchase and then take it with you
