Ice/Fishing Report

Anyone have a report of safe ice? With this cold weather we been having there should be some safe ice up north. I have not checked any lake here in central area yet. Hunting is winding down and I would like to get out on the ice this year again. Barely any safe ice the past 2 years in this area. Thanks for any reports

I think some lakes up by me are safe now - they were so close before this last cold snap... Not sure which ones though. Will see if I can check some this weekend.

I got a new hand Auger this year and would like to get out. It's going to warm up a few days but I think getting cold again this weekend. Maybe we can get a little WW ice fishing get together in a few weeks?

I have a gas auger - I can drill 30 holes in 5 minutes with a foot of ice, perfect for a group outing..

i was on 6.5 inches on sunday in a protected cove up north. but not everywhere is safe. some lakes are still open.
