My Son's Snowy NJ Buck

My son killed his first archery buck this November in PA and killed his first shotgun buck yesterday. I hunted yesterday morning with a buddy then went home to get my 2 boys at lunch time for the afternoon sit. We sat a blind that I set a month or so ago and haven't really hunted. We were sitting in the blind just having some fun and laughing when 3 bucks came trotting by the blind and stopped in front. We had already pre-determined who was shooting depending on which direction the deer came from. Chris got it done with 2 quick shots from his new Remington 870.

 

Needless to say we had a great day enjoying our hunt in the snow. We are very fortunate to get to share these experiences and memories with family and friends.

Congratulations to you and your boys. Nothing more rewarding then watching one of your kids harvest a deer. My daughter is 14 and has taken a deer every year. My son will be 10 in July, can't wait to see that smile when he gets his first next year.
