Son's 8 Point

We had taken a few days off with some of the warmer weather we were getting, but today it was pretty cold, a high of 25 with a nice north wind, which was perfect for our stand. Last week I noticed that a big scrape that was in range of this stand was getting hit pretty hard again, and the camera I had out was getting this buck, and a few others. Mostly night pics, but a few in the day. Picked him up after school and we drove about 10 minutes to our spot. He got in his stand at about 300 and had a smaller 8 point come by after only 10 minutes. I was thinking this was going to be good they are moving tonight! Sure enough towards dusk two smaller bucks came by the scrape followed by this one. He was moving pretty fast out about 60 yards but a mouth grunt stopped him and he made a nice shot with his ML and the buck went down after about an 80 yard run. He really has had a great year.
