NJ Outdoor Heritage Of The Past

I found this tucked away in some stuff from a recently "retired" NJ Outdoorsman. He was just moved into an assisted living situation and gave me some stuff as he was cleaning out his home. A message to all: enjoy the woods and water every precious moment you have. Take the next generation with you, if you can't, at least pass on your knowledge and wisdom to someone who will treasure it and use it. You (We) are the keepers of the gate and must pass the torch appropriately. One day we will meet our hunting God and complete the Circle of Life.

I had an extensive collection of vintage NJ hunting stuff including hunting licenses back to 1936 and fishing licenses back to 1906...a lot of super cool stuff...I had it framed in a shadowbox that was displayed at events when I was working with the NJOA. It stayed with the display set up on indefinite loan....Hoping they still have it and are properly caring for it.... It wasn't a huge expense  as most of the old licenses and stuff can be found for $5 or $10 but it's definitely cool to see
