Awesome pheasant hunting this morning in the snow

Headed up to Walpack with my buddy ASFTAX for some birds this morning. Ended up with our limits after awhile without dogs. Was beautiful with lots of snow coming down, and many birds were all over with very few guys. So few that I headed home to pickup my son to see if he could get a couple.

As we were heading to a couple of fields along the Delaware, we saw a group of what appeared to be turkey vultures tearing apart a hen on the side of the road. As we got closer we saw they were 5 bald eagles, 3 males. Was able to get a pic which is attached below of one of them......Numerous Red Tailed Hawks were seen perching in the trees everwhere. They must have had a field day as we must have counted over a dozen cockbirds in different fields on the way home. My son took a gorgeous bird with one of the longest tails I have seen in a few years.

Going to make pheasant cutlets wrapped in bacon for dinner tonight, the kids can't wait lol.
