Help identify this and how it's used.

The hook on the far left is for hanging the object being weighed

The next one is for hanging the scale from something (tree branch, ceiling beam etc.)

The hook on the right, holds the peavy and slides along the rod. When the rod is balanced horizonally, which ever number it is on is the weight of the object.

If you have a set of peaveys, the rod number gets multiplied by the number on bottom of the peavey

It's a steelyard scale.

Worth very little if not anything at all without the peaveys

 

Learn something every day :) I assume "peavey" is the weight? This guy in the video also says its useless without the weight.
