Gov. wolf is allowing the state to say you can use semi auto firearms for hunting in PA.

now the game commission will have to decide regs.

They are also finally allowing pellet guns for hunting as well.

I personally am not sure how I feel. I still love my rem. 700. not to say someone else may like a Bar or soemthing...

Would be nice to hunt with 10/22 or semi auto 10mm

Are you talking about handguns or long guns?

Well, I'm all for letting the game commission make the rules (instead of the legislature)...I wish they'd do the same for Sunday hunting.  I don't know if I'm a fan of semi auto though....could you imagine a deer drive with a bunch of guys with semi auto?  Yesh....

Where is that in the digest?  I know tons of PA hunters that drive every year.  I think there is a limit that you can't have more than 25 people do a drive...but you can definitely drive in PA (at least for deer).

Here you go..from the digest:

Organized Drives

It is unlawful to drive or herd elk. For deer and bear, an unlicensed person who has never held a hunting license in Pennsylvania or any other state may participate in a drive for a properly licensed hunter providing the following requirements are met: The person remains in sight and close to a hunter at least 18 years of age; the unlicensed person does not possess any firearm, bow or other hunting device; and the person complies with requirements for wearing fluorescent orange. The ratio of licensed hunters to non-licensed hunters must not exceed 1:1.
